Electrical Engineering (EE) study program in the School of Electrical Engineering & Informatics (SEEI) of ITB has been assessed by ABET team on 31 Jan-2Feb 2011 after a postponed visit on 7-10 November 2010 due to Merapi volcano event. It was not only EE but also SEEI and ITB wide institution to be the subject of assessment. The assessment process was smooth and ended up with excellent and promising result. A high appreciation is therefore for people and sub organization of ITB who have been working hard to make a fair and maximum result is obtained. It is highly expected that 2 years accreditation will be obtained and even a 6 years accreditation will be granted if one weakness in Program Educational Objective is addressed before June 2011. A formal announcement from ABET will be on July 2011. An internal EE team of SEEI ITB is currently working to address the weakness along with the Advisory Board and SEEI Senate. Obviously, it is then crucial to maintain and improve that has been achieved institutionally within the EE, SEEI and ITB for a continuous EE education advancement in SEEI ITB and Indonesia in general.
